What is Slow Fashion?

Slow Fashion is a movement promoting clothing production that respects the environment, people, and animals. It stands in opposition to "fast fashion" which is an exploitative business model based on mass-production at the lowest cost. Fast Fashion is often associated with low-labor protection bulk manufacturing in Asia and materials that are cheap and harmful for the environment, like polyester and nylon.

In contrast to fast fashion, Slow Fashion favors sustainable solutions, responsible & local production, and smaller & timeless collections. It promotes the purchase of higher-quality garments that will last longer and are made of recyclable fabrics - which ultimately provides value to both customers, manufactures, and the planet.
